Ghanaian iconic rapper Sarkodie has called on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to open Ghana’s national borders for at least a day to enable citizens stuck outside the country to return home.
Sarkodie,who communicated his plea about the further closure of Ghana’s International borders lauded the President for handling the pandemic situation in Ghana and begged him to open the borders for a day or two to allow Ghanaian’s abroad return home.
He penned a letter via his official twitter handle;
Last Sunday the President lifted the restriction on movement designed to combat spread of covid-19 after a three-week partial lockdown on Greater Accra, Kasoa and Greater Kumasi.
However suspension on public gathering and closure of the country’s international borders are still in force till further notice.
The President’s request has heavily affected Ghanaian’s abroad who are eager to get back home for which Sarkodie, a victim of the situation appears not to be cool with the President’s affirmed directives and therefore pleads for a few day opening of the borders.
The ‘Ofeetso’ hitmaker been in the US for few weeks away from his family and has been stuck outside the country due to the outbreak.
